Degree versus professional qualification

A bachelor's degree and a professional qualification serve different purposes. Some careers require a particular regulated qualification, while others value a combination of degree, skills, experience and certification.

How to choose

  1. Start with the career role you want.
  2. Check the qualification required.
  3. Check entrance examinations and eligibility.
  4. Compare duration, cost and location.
  5. Consider employment, further study and licensing requirements.

Important

Do not rely on an old eligibility rule or previous year's entrance pattern. Check the current admission brochure and examination notification of the relevant authority.
